Guilty Pleasures

A poem titled "Guilty Pleasures" in the shape of a slice of pie or pizza. It reads as follows: Pie Or cake I enjoy both Time to partake I don't discriminate Reaching for the chips Mouth begins watering Their saltiness on my lips Buttery treats filled with regret Knowing that I will feel the effects As I swallow a bite of the chemicals With preservatives that my body rejects Mindless harm done for a few fleeting seconds Guilt and shame will continue to build if unchecked Be aware of what it is that you are doing to your body It is never too late to start treating yourself with respect

Guilty pleasures spice life up, but listen to your body when it needs a break. You can find healthier ways to satisfy the same urges. Be mindful of your actions so that you are aware of their consequences.
