Shedding the Critic
Pt.2

A poem titled Shedding the Critic Pt.2 that reads: For in my mind, a friend is waiting to be found, Whispering wisdom, hoping I will come around.   Into the depths of dark thoughts, I will delve, To decipher the messages they long to tell.   Instead of fighting the current within, I will let it carry me to where peace begins. No longer will mental concepts keep me in a bind, For I know I am more than the thoughts in my mind.

This is another part of the poem “Shedding the Critic” from my upcoming book, “Metamorphosis: Unveiling My Inner Light.” It will be available next week.

The book is about the journey of self-compassion and self-discovery, acknowledging that healing requires venturing into the depths of darkness. This poem illuminates the profound relationship between the mind and the self.

Through delicate whispers, the inner friend in my mind offers insight and enlightenment, encouraging me to embrace its essence fully. Rather than avoiding or suppressing dark thoughts, I seek to decipher the profound messages these thoughts hold, ready to confront my innermost fears and anxieties.

Only by accepting the turbulent currents can I find the peace I seek. I will break free from the shackles of limiting mental constructs, understanding that my identity extends beyond the sum of my thoughts.

This poem emphasizes the significance of self-awareness and introspection. The poem speaks to the universal human experience of seeking inner peace and realizing the profound t lies within us all. It encourages readers to embark on their own journey of self-discovery, embracing the complexities of their minds and ultimately discovering the boundless nature of their true selves.
